Hi, I have just recently joined AEAP. I work at a smaller physician recruiting firm and am the only admin here - so I basically do it all. I would love to be able to connect with more admins again and feel a connection. I know and have stayed friends with one other admin I used to work with, but don't connect as much as we would like to do to. It gets lonely when your the only one who knows and understands what you all do. I would love to meet more people and gain that connection back. I am responding to your email that you sent to the AEAP asking if there’s anyone in a similar situation as you. I am your girl. I work for a utility firm. I’m the only admin for a director. Under him is two managers and host of group & team leaders. I can really relate to you. I agree with Ms. Rafferty to join your local chapter. I'm pretty sure you will find that you are not the only one.

You should join your local chapter of International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP). They have a website also. I found many friends at my local chapter.
