Has anyone attended the Office Professional Workshop: Minute Taking Made Easy? If so, please provide feedback.
I attended this seminar a few months ago in Seattle, WA. It was the best minute taking seminar I have ever attended. The instructor actually made the program very interesting and (if you can believe it) fun. Well worth the money and the time.

I attended this workshop yesterday in Washington, DC and it was extremely beneficial and well worth my time. I have been taking minutes for quite a number of years and was looking for ways to make it easier as well as to find out whether what we're doing is correct. This workshop helped me find some of those solutions and the day went by so quickly. Rhonda had everyone involved and it was very interesting to hear other comments about minutes. Great workshop and I highly recommend it.

I attended the 10/2/08 session in Sacramento. It was one of the best classes I've ever participated in. Often you go in getting a nugget or two, but the entire day was filled with nuggets.
Hope you enjoy yourself tomorrow.

I will be attending this workshop tomorrow, Oct. 8. When I return I will give you my feedback. Glad to see that the feedback you received to date is very positive. I look forward to attending this seminar. I've taken minutes for quite a number of years, but thoroughly hate it. Hope this workshop changes my view of minute-taking.

Yes, I did attend the workshop. I felt it was very beneficial and got to network with other administrative assistants. Great ideas flew around the room and you find that most have the same questions as you. I learned some shortcuts to minute taking which has helped a lot.
Go for it – it is worth it. Rhonda Scharf is great – you have fun while you learn.

I'm scheduled to attend on October 2 in Sacramento and am very excited. I was thrilled to read the other responses to you as well. Taking minutes is a major part of my job as an EA in a public agency. I've also taken minutes for years, but would like to review the rules of what is required. I always seem to record more than necessary.

Thanks to all for the responses! Kathi, please followup after your session. I'm looking at registering for an October 24 session in Atlanta.

I took this seminar and LOVED, LOVED, LOVED it! I wish it was around 20 years ago when I started taking minutes. Although I felt "well versed" in minute taking, I learned quite a few tricks that have provided to be very helpful. The instructor was fabulous and it was definately a hands-on experience. I highly encourage you to invest in this seminar.

I will be attending a session on September 16 in Brookfield, WI. I can certainly follow up if the date you are looking at hasn't passed at that time.

I took it and LOVED it!!! The instructor is great. Some information didn't really apply to what I do now, but you never know what you might be doing in the future. I definitely recommend it!!

My company sent three of us to the seminar. If you are new to minute taking or need help in deciding what to record (along with some rules) this is a good class. The instructor is excellent and the interaction in my class was good.
My problem is not in the taking notes but to actually finalized the information. I don't think anyone can help me with that.
