I worked as an Executive Assistant for the CEO, President, SVP International, SVP General Counsel, SVP Product Development and SVP Business Strategy and was not compensated for the additional work. Gizzy on 8/4/2010 10:49:41 AM
I support 4 execs. The CEO, President, CTO and CFO. I was hired to support them because the previous EA only supported the CEO. I suppose the salary I receive does cover all 4. They are not all equally needy so for the most part it works out ok. Valerie Butler on 10/22/2009 1:32:29 PM

Hi O.K., Would you like your question to be sent to your fellow members via mass email? Debbie AEAP Anonymous on 2/24/2009 6:32:01 AM
I currently support one VP, but have had two and up to three in the past. I was compensated as such in two means. One, was clear and precise negotiation with demonstration of what one wasn't getting, and the others were to make sure I didn't just keep stacking more onto my own plate - when we negotiated - all were in the room together and I used a REAL pie to show what was being segmented - it was a fun exercise. Also, I was given a 10% boost when I went to to two, and the third provided an additional 5% in salary. I also used the opportunity to negotiate a flexible week so that I would come in on Saturday when they weren't there so I could attend to the routine responsibilities that their constant requirements in the NOW created on the standard work days. The day I was out, they hired a temp receptionist to cover my desk for routine responsibilities like phone, coffee, meeting support, etc. It was a great system, but didn't hold for very long as their demands grew as well. I also demanded a clear agreement between the two, and then three, and then two again, of who the ultimate decision maker of my priorities was so that they could hash the petty arguments out themselves. They were also a really REALLY great group of collaborators and we had a really effective team, which made them understanding of acceptable demands and what they had to sacrifice in order to get their immediate wants.
