I have had family in Arizona since the early 1980's and due to circumstances, am finally free to join them. I currently live in Michigan. However, I need employment before I relocate, and am kind of stumped as to where to turn. I attended a job fair in Phoenix which didn't really help me. I am an executive assistant to a ceo and would like to maintain that level, but would be willing to accept less pay to move. I would pay my own relocation expenses, but could use ideas as to how to search for employment there and how to get serious consideration, since I am serious about new employment and relocation.

I have been with a company for the past 18+ years. I was the executive assistant to the president and making a nice income after the length of service with my company. They closed the office in Arizona and I have been unemployed for the past two months. My opinion is this is not a good time to move here. The executive assistant positions that are out there are at least $10,000 less than I was making if you can even get an interview. Good luck.
