eFax
|
My company currently uses Nextiva for receiving and sending faxes. In recent weeks, their system has technical difficulties almost on a daily basis so I am looking for a new eFax system. I have done some comparisons online and it looks like the eFax Company would be the best. I would, however, appreciate some feedback on eFax systems that others are using successfully before I make a decision. Thank you. Josie H.

Calendar Help
|
I have been asked to look into creating an Executive Calendar for just the VP's and President to view all upcoming company functions, meetings, etc. The problem is, all of them are managing about 3-4 calenders already, syncing to thier different devices, etc., they don't want to have to add another one. Does anyone have any suggestions for a calendar that will be easily managed and will work with various devices and programs?

Disclaimer
|
Does anyone have a general disclaimer they use when making a report of a telephone call? We receive phone calls from residents who do not have computers they can send emails on.
I'd like to report the call and information for them, but do not write everything "verbatim" just the basics.
This information goes out to our Committees for their info only; so I'd like to put some kind of disclaimer at the bottom, that it is just that....information only on a reported call (and by the receivers intrepretation).
Any suggesting? Thank you.

Do you use a policy management software? If so, what software do use? Do you find the software helpful in the management of your policies?

Web Demos or Webinars
|
My new boss asked me to set up a call with a present client and have a Web Demo set to see their product. Wouldn't the client have to do this as they have control over their website and product demos? I have never set one up - I know our company has done them, but I was never involved before.

Reply vs. Reply All
|
Does anyone have a best practice they can share on how to address others on when to use "Reply" vs. "Reply All"? Lately, we have become inundated with team / chapter members clicking on "reply all" for everything. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you.

Outlook 2003 Read Receipt Question
|
I am a long-time user of Outlook 2003 and recently had my computer replaced. Of course, all of my setting preferences in my software applications needed to be reset. The only item I continue to have problems with is Outlook 2003 and the Read Receipt on messages I forward on behalf of my managers. On my prior system, I had this ability to receive the "read receipts" and cannot recall how I got this feature to work. This assists my groups in follow-up regarding important financial data. Our IT group is at a loss as well. Any tips would be appreciated. Thank you.

Outlook Meeting Planning
|
Hi all. I plan sooooo many meetings using Outlook. My frustration is that I will have several dates to suggest to Committee Members (sometimes up to 20 members), and scheduling can be very tedious. I know that there are Outlook add on programs that allow you to send a "poll". Does anyone use software like that, and if so, can you make a recommendation?

Secretarial Competencies
|
For the State of Washington, you can find competencies at the following URL. The state underwent a complete revision in positions and competencies a few years ago. I hope this will be helpful.

Secretarial Competencies
|
I have worked as a secretary for the federal government for the past 14 years. The agency I work for has been in existence for the past 16 years. We do not have secretarial competencies established, and I have been tasked to lead a group of four to write them for each secretarial level. I contacted our HR to see if they have any guidance I can use. I was told that this is new to the federal government, and I would have to start from scratch. HR also told me that I can use information from the private sector and incorporate it into my documents. Does anyone have a good web site I can go to or have a competency dictionary I can access or any help at all? Thank you in advance for your consideration.

Web 2.0 Tools
|
I'm an admin completing a masters degree and need to demonstrate the need for admins to know Web 2.0 tools (Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Docs, Twitter, Blogs, etc.). Are any of you using these tools for your professional career, using them to help your manager/executive, etc.? There is no printed material I can find anywhere that shows admin professionals doing this regularly in their careers. I need to show a need for administrative professionals to know these tools. Any thoughts? Please respond ASAP. Thanks!
